At the end of 2021, the team here at Surelock McGill had the pleasure of starting our journey working with Spokesafe, a startup business on a mission to make active travel the default choice for inner city transport and logistics.
Spokesafe provide secure places for cyclists to store their possessions when out and about to make travel via bike as easy as possible. Their uniquely designed lockers utilise the Surelock McGill OTAC 100, a discrete and secure battery powered locking solution that provides a range of access control options.
The OTAC 100 integrates with Spokesafe’s 1st party app to allow users to book lockers at a time and date of their choosing, and provides a temporary access code that gives the user access into the locker during their booking period.
Late last year we were excited to hear that our local town council had approved Spokesafe to expand their network further and install two banks of their cycle lockers in Wokingham. With one of the installs happening just down the street from our Head Office, our technical team were able to assist in the install and attend the official opening by Wokingham Town Mayor Cllr Maria Gee.
The OTAC 100 is the product of a collaboration with Codelocks and features a range of access control options; such as RFID card, pin codes and mobile authorisation. Working with Codelocks enabled the OTAC 100 to have smart technology seamlessly integrated with traditional access control features for easy and straightforward operation. The discrete and secure design has built-in, anti-tamper features to ensure users belongings will not be manipulated with or stolen.
