Thanks again to Stone/OBL for hosting their annual Protection in High Threat Environments course in Bend, Oregon.

Course participants were immersed in the classroom, learning about various blast, ballistic and physical security standards and practices. They were then treated to first-hand demonstrations of these threats at OBL's proving ground in the high desert.

Very special thanks go out to our customer and partner, Norshield Architectural Products, for designing and manufacturing doors that highlight our locking systems, hinges, and automatic door operators.

This year, we showcased fully automated doors with both steel and aluminum construction. These beautiful doors featured partial and full vision kits that offer an unprecedented combination of aesthetics and performance.

Participants were given a preview of new products, including a mortise-mounted Slimline with a reduced backset that fits into aluminum doors, providing maximum clearance for a fully glazed door; a new, more cost-effective Ballistic Door Viewer; and the newly BHMA Grade 1 certified Touch Bar exit device.

All our systems were subjected to various handgun and rifle ballistic tests, forced entry abuse, and arena and drone-delivered blast demonstrations.

Whether you are responsible for physical security for government buildings, petrochemical facilities, data centers, or other commercial buildings, Surelock McGill and our partners can deliver solutions that provide your required level of physical security and access control while meeting the necessary life-safety protocols.
