Triple-weight detention-style hinges for demanding security applications.
Blast, ballistic, and forced entry threats place unique demands on door hardware.
The Surelock McGill HT10 and HT12 are mortise-fitted, high-capacity hinges designed to support these demanding security applications.
The HT10 and HT12 share performance characteristics and are available with a 10 mm (HT10) or 12 mm (HT12) leaf thickness. When installed using approved stainless steel fasteners, each hinge provides a load capacity beyond 2,000 lbs per hinge.

Grade 316 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance in demanding environments. The HT10 and HT12 have been tested to 1,500,000 cycles on a 1,120 lb (500 kg) door assembly and are designed for long-term service on heavy security openings.
Thrust and needle roller bearings support smooth operation under high loads. Concealed grease fittings allow routine maintenance without compromising appearance.
When installed using ½" stainless steel or M12 stainless steel (A2) fasteners, the HT hinges provide:
• Radial load capacity of 1,120 lbs (500 kg) per hinge
• Thrust load capacity of 4,100 lbs (1,800 kg) per hinge
The hinges include a screw-off cover for the grease fitting, providing an aesthetically pleasing design with easy access to grease and service the hinges. Below is an image of the HT Hinge with the cap removed, exposing the grease fitting.
