MORTISE SLMLINE PASSES FE/BR 60 MINUTE CERTIFICATION

Image
Surelock McGill and Norshield Security products teamed up to design and develop a new multi- threat door solution.

Norshield and Surelock McGill have been providing the highest levels of physical security products all over the world for decades.  This most recent partnership is the first in what we believe will be a long line of security solutions that will protect people and properties for years to come.

In late 2020, the door was tested at Oregon Ballistics Laboratory to the US Department of State SD-STD-01 forced entry and ballistics certification.

The door and locking system were subjected to over a dozen shots from various rifle rounds, and then an hour concentrated attack using various hand tools by six individuals.

BENEFITS OF MORTISE AUTOLOCKING SYSTEM

Surelock McGill’s Slimline system has been trusted for decades to provide physical security and life safety.  With the system mortised into the door, the system can still provide single motion egress, protection against ballistic and forced entry, provide fire and blast resistance with its auto-locking bolts, but now in a more aesthetically pleasing footprint.

Because this mortise package is based on the existing range of Slimline systems, architects and specifiers will not have any issues meeting end user’s needs for egress or entry parameters.  The mortise Slimline can function with all the myriad operational features that have existed for years including electronic access control, motorized bolt retraction, combination lock entry, and delayed egress.
