A huge thank you to Stone/OBL for hosting an amazing event this past June in Bend. The classes were educational, and the testing subjected our hardware to impressive attack, blast, and ballistic demonstrations. A special thanks to our partners at Norshield for building beautiful doors that showcased how important it is to marry the right doors and locking systems.
Having an engaged audience makes all the difference, so we also want to thank the class participants for their pointed questions as we shared just how vulnerable standard doors and hardware are against even the simplest attack methods.
Our flagship surface mounted and mortise Slimline systems withstood some serious attacks during the live forced entry demonstrations.
To cap the week off, both the hardware and the doors were subjected to ballistic attacks using a .44 magnum handgun, and 7.62 x 39mm and 5.56mm rifle rounds. These rounds showcased the importance of intelligent door and frame construction as well as the need for ballistic resistant cylinder guards and locking systems.
The 2023 course was a huge success, and we look forward to what Stone/OBL has in store for us next year!
