Interior System
Standard 5 point Zeus with Panic Bar Exit
The interior of the Zeus is a 5-point auto-bolting system that is fully constructed of stainless steel and made up of two hinge bolts, two spring-loaded round top and bottom bolts, and one square center bolt. The top and bottom bolts are retracted via cams and plates rather than less durable mechanisms such as wire/cable. They are extended via the auto-bolting system when the door is closed via stout springs to ensure engagement.

The Zeus is non-handed and all systems allow for single motion egress at all times through two exit options:
• Straight Lever - For low occupancy areas or inswing systems.
• Panic bar - UL 305 life-safety certified standard panic bar systems fit up to a 36" door. Longer panic bars are available on request.
Infinite Restraints
Auto-Bolting systems that use a detent to “catch” the retraction of the bolts can allow the door to open without engaging causing the bolts to fire before the door is closed. The Zeus’s infinite restraint catches the bolts at each point of retraction, ensuring that the bolts never fire until the restraints hit the strike.

Exterior System
Zeus Exterior with Astragal and MLK Exterior Trim
The exterior of the Zeus systems are fastened via through bolts for added attack resistance and are made from stainless steel for durability in even the harshest of environments. All outswing options feature an astragal and two hinge bolts.
The Zeus comes with three exterior trim options:
• Exit Only – No method of entry
• Mechanical Entry - Key operated lever handle (MLK) that comes standard in storeroom function. Classroom function available.
• Electronic Entry – Lever handle (electrified MLK) that allows for any access control system to be used for entry. Mechanical entry still functions as well.
Zeus Astragal
The astragal is 14 ga. stainless steel and measures 46 3/8” x 6 3/4”. It features a raised lip to allow for overlapping with the frame to protect the door gap, has stamped ribbing for increased structural strength, and is installed via through bolting to increase astragal and door strength.

Bolt Through Strap
The bolt-through straps are solid cast stainless steel with beveled edges to provide protection from direct attacks. The 1-¾” long posts are a ½” in diameter and receive a 5/16” bolt bolt from interior side, providing strength to the Zeus and door. The bolt-through strap is used for the top and bottom bolt on all systems, hinge bolts on outswing systems, and the center module of exit-only systems.
MLK
The MLK is a heavy-duty exterior trim with Rim cylinder and lever handle. MLKs provide a higher level of physical protection than commercially available exterior trims.

Simplified Installation
The Zeus was designed to make the installation as simple and quick as possible.
This was accomplished by creating a load plate that also acts as the drilling template during installation. For outswing doors there are three “L” brackets that allow you to square the Zeus to the frame and mark the holes to be drilled for the strikes.
