Working Together With European EMC Products
In a demonstration of our expertise and commitment to innovation and class-leading standards, Surelock McGill has worked with our new customer, European EMC Products, on multiple key projects. From security doors for government buildings to blast doors for oil refineries, European EMC Products use Surelock McGill security solutions all over the world.
Our specialist products allow European EMC Products to offer combined physical attack resistance with Electro Magnetic Compliance (EMC) to deliver bespoke, multi-threat security solutions.
Based in Essex, European EMC Products bring together their 26 years of experience in producing electromagnetic shielding, blast, and security products with Surelock McGill’s six decades of experience at the forefront of the physical security world to create class-leading security products.
Most recently, European EMC Products upgraded the blast doors for a project repairing and reutilising an out-of-use oil refinery. The upgrade required a triple leaf doorset resistant to blast threats while also allowing for the occasional movement of oversized machinery and equipment through the opening. When considering a blast threat, the larger the door, the greater the locking requirements, as more bolting positions will need to be added to ensure higher levels of resistance are met. For the oil refinery, the oversized function of the doorset was only needed on occasion, but normal height access was needed daily.
This meant European EMC Products needed a unique solution. The doorset required secure entry at all times, as well as the flexibility to move large equipment in and out of the opening.
By utilising our newly launched Coniston multi-point bolting system, European EMC Products were able to avoid using the traditional crudely engineered bolting systems. Instead, they used the robust and reliable Coniston bolting system and added an additional top leaf to their doorset that allowed for simple, flexible oversized access without compromising the blast resistance or security of the overall doorset.
For European EMC Products, working with Surelock McGill has enabled them to incorporate our industry-leading locking systems and extensive knowledge of testing standards and certification into bespoke, tested, and certified security solutions for projects around the world.
