Recently our team had the pleasure of working with FM Global Safety Solutions (FMGSS) on a unique project, helping to secure the world’s first vault rated shipping container: Mobile Strongroom. Our Slimline combination system and Group tower bolts were selected to enhance the physical security and functionality of this groundbreaking solution. Keep reading to explore how!

Incidents of cargo and storage thefts from containers have escalated dramatically in recent years, posing significant risks not only to individual companies and corporate supply chains but ultimately to the economy at large. This challenge has grown into a multi-billion-dollar criminal enterprise, resulting in substantial financial losses for all parties involved.

FMGSS is an innovative, high security start-up founded in Sweden in 2019 with the mission to reduce these financial losses and make the global transport, storage, and logistic industry secure, more efficient, and more sustainable through their vault rated shipping container: Mobile Strongroom.

However, in order to become the world’s first shipping container to achieve the rigorous test criteria of EN 1143-1 Grade 3, Mobile Strongroom required a highly secure locking system.

We are proud to share that our flagship multi-point locking system, the Slimline, and our Group heavy duty tower bolts provided the ideal solution.

Our 5 point Slimline combination system offered Mobile Strongroom robust protection, as well as flexible functionality options for various methods of secure access.

 Fully constructed from grade 316 stainless steel, the Slimline and tower bolts are also highly corrosion resistant, ideal for the harsh outdoor environments Mobile Strongroom will be subject to.

Certified in accordance with EN 1143-1:2019 Scheme 5 (ISO/IEC 17067:2013) Grade 3, Mobile Strongroom provides the highest level of container security for secure storage and safe transportation of cash, explosives, and weapons across ocean, road, and rail freight. Mobile Strongroom has fully reinforced protection to every elevation of the unit including the doors. This reinforcement comes without a significant increase in weight, nor a significant reduction in storage space, due to their patented internal container structure.
