Introducing the HC Range
Acoustic and Radio Frequency shielded doors block unwanted sound and communication waves from escaping a secured area. This is achieved by incorporating dampening material inside the door and multiple seals on and around the perimeter of the door and frame.
These added enhancements can translate into doors that are much heavier than traditional hollow metal applications, and thus require a hinge that can support these higher weights.The HC line of hinges are designed and manufactured for precise and hassle-free operation of extremely large or heavy doors. To meet the extensive demands of high performance doorsets, the HC hinge range includes two main sizes: HC30 hinges for medium duty doorsets and HC44 hinges for larger, heavy duty doorsets.
CAM LIFT HINGES
Superb in design with fully machined helixes, our Cam Lift hinge sets for acoustic and RFI doors can handle weights up to 3,500 kg (7,700 lbs) and a radial load up to 3,000 kg (6,600 lbs).
The Cam Lift hinges provide consistent smooth lift up to 12.7 mm (0.5”) over 180°, releasing the door from its bottom seal, and reducing the risk of damage and wear. Our Cam Lift hinges are manufactured in 316 grade stainless steel for maximum strength even in the harshest environments.

For pedestrian doors weighing up to 350 kg (770 lbs), the Surelock McGill HC30 medium duty, recess fitted, Cam Lift hinge is the answer to many problems that plague specifiers in the acoustic door space.
The precision design and 316 grade stainless steel construction will allow the HC30 Cam Lift hinge to provide the necessary lift for acoustic doors in any environment and continue to operate with little maintenance over the course of 1 million operations.
The HC30 Cam Lift hinge provides a maximum rise of 7.5 mm (0.29”) over 180°, opens with less than 2.5 kg (5 lbs) of force on a 200 kg (440 lbs) door, and includes a grease nipple for ease of service every 200,000 cycles.

For oversized acoustic and RF doors, Surelock McGill offers the HC44 heavy duty, surface mounted, Cam Lift hinge. This hinge is designed to work as a set of a single Cam Lift hinge positioned in the middle of the door with Support hinges installed above and below. This combination can operate doors in excess of 3,500 kg (7,700 lbs) while providing up to 12.7 mm (0.5”) of rise over 180°.
The HC44 Cam Lift hinge includes a grease nipple for ease of maintenance as well as an adjustable locking nut to ensure maximum floor clearance. The 316 grade stainless steel and precision machined construction will provide trouble free operation for years of service.
