Hinge Bolts
Surelock McGill hinge bolts or ‘dog bolts’ as they are more commonly known, provide an additional layer of protection to the hinged side of the door during an attack.
Low security hinges are often sacrificial for assailants, especially on outward opening doors as they are clearly visible to would-be attackers. Removal of the hinges allows the door to be detached from its frame and unauthorised entry into the facility becomes possible. With Surelock McGill high security hinge bolts fitted into the edge of the door, it becomes difficult to remove as they protrude into frame when closed and cannot be manipulated without a considerable level of force.
