IQ Drop Safe
The electronic dropsafe is a combination of a key place and card reader on one side of the wall and a steel box on the other side of the wall. One or more dropsafes can be connected together through the network with the key cabinet using Ethernet connections. The dropsafe communicates with the key cabinet and informs which keys have been returned and dropped into the dropsafe. People who have no access to the key cabinet or people who want to return a key out of working hours may use the dropsafe to return a key. Administration staff will pick up the keys from dropsafe the next day and put them back into the key cabinet. The dropsafe opens its door after the user’s access card has been read. Then the user has to put in the key, its RFID tag will be identified and after the user closes the door the key drops into the safe. The key cabinet (where the dropsafe is connected to it) will know about the missing keys and the returned keys.

Security
Keys are secured by locks and RFID tags. Access to keys with PIN code and/or card.
Networking
Use your intelligent key cabinets as standalone ones or let them communicate with each other in local network. All cabinets have embedded computer with Ethernet network interfaces. Administer your cabinets from anywhere using a web-browser.

Emergency & security
The key modules are also equipped with an emergency button. You can pick up your keys in emergency situation by pressing this button, but it works only if you have turned your extra safe emergency key on.
Access to the Computer module is also protected by an additional key.
In emergency situation external systems (like fire alarm) can give a signal to the cabinet through its inbound ports.
In the event of electricity outage the internal backup battery will give service.
