Seclusion Room Doors

In mental health units, it is crucial to protect both patients and staff. This includes preventing harm by ligature and lowering ligature risk for service users and inpatients. Using a suitably robust door and a concealed multi-point lock can help to achieve this. We offer locks with slam-shut functionality, where the handle and cylinder are on the exterior, and there is nothing on the internal face. This ensures patients are held securely and in a safe environment.

Door Handles

Psychiatric hospitals need safe but effective pull handles. Surelock Guarded and Sunken Pull handles, placed on either side of a door, can enable staff to open doors with a dominant pulling force on the chosen side of the door. These pull handles have been tested under the TS001 standard.

Anti-Ligature Louvre

In some areas of mental health facilities, it is necessary to use louvres for ventilation while ensuring the safety and security of staff and patients. We offer a high-performance ventilation louvre that reduces ligature risk without compromising security.
