Surelock McGill is proud to announce the launch of the new 'D25' Blast Enhancement Option.
This latest addition to the Slimline range is a product improvement that provides a significant increase in strength to meet the higher levels of blast pressure performance over its predecessor, the 'D02'.
The new 'D25' bolt and guide combination offers high levels of blast protection as well as increased performance for category I and II damage responses. The 'D25' enhancement includes tapered lead-in square bolt and enhanced guides to provide full engagement of the door into its frame. In addition to providing greater protection against both physical attack and blast events, the door opening forces are reduced compared to the previous Slimline 'D02' option.
D25 High Level Blast Protection
Peak pressure values are a guide based on static load calculations on a particular door construction. Calculations should be done for specific door sizes and constructions.
In October 2020, Surelock McGill LLC teamed up with Stone Protective Solutions, LLC for an arena test of their “Enviro BRM™” Blast Resistant Modular building and door with a Surelock McGill Slimline multi-point lock with the new 'D25' enhanced bolting option. The building, door, and lock performed exceptionally with the door and hardware able to function without issues after the blast event.
