Expanding the Surelock McGill Product Range
This year, our team broadened our multi-threat product range, dedicating time, effort, and resources to product development. We designed, produced, and launched two brand-new locking solutions and expanded our offering for one of our most popular single-point locks.

Our latest addition to Surelock McGill’s gatelocking range, the Aldgate single-point hook lock, resists even the most extreme pulling power to protect your perimeters against unauthorised access.

We developed the Foyle to combine rapid one-way security lockdown with safe exit for invacuation areas, ensuring your staff remains protected from harm.

We have expanded our Tyne single-point locking solution range with a 3-inch backset version to suit doors requiring a smaller mortice backset design.

Case Study with MM Engineering
We supported our client, MM Engineering, to successfully complete a project for their customer, Chemring Energetics, this year. The site, a new propellants factory, required a locking system capable of making an over 500-ton heavy door easy to operate and withstand force and debris from blasts to protect personnel and assets from explosions.
Our team created a custom solution: a bespoke, 12-point Coniston locking system—a heavy-duty, apt, and capable lock for blast applications.

Highlights from ISE 2025
We were excited to be back at the International Security Expo 2025, meeting with new and existing connections across the industry.
Our stand showcased several of this year’s new product launches, including the single-point one-way lockdown solution, the Foyle; the 3-inch Tyne; and our latest 38 mm hook lock, the Aldgate.
BRE also tested our Eden lockable trim to its full potential against forced entry attacks through rigorous live demonstrations.

We will be back at ISE 2026 – keep an eye out for more information next year!

Securing Your Sector Series
We have released several instalments of our Securing Your Sector LinkedIn series over the course of the year. Securing Your Sector examines the unique security concerns of a specific sector and introduces the most suitable Surelock McGill locking system.
Industries we focused on this year included railway transport, tunnels, telecommunications, onshore and offshore petrochemicals, renewable energy and electricity.
However, we are not yet done, and Securing Your Sector will return with new content next year.
Make sure to follow us on LinkedIn if you are not already, and ask our experts about the solutions selected for your location!

LPS 1673 Guidance for High-Risk Individuals
Earlier this year, the NPSA released further guidance on securing high-profile homes, which reiterated the importance of using LPS 1673-certified products.
LPS 1673, the LPCB’s latest security standard, was designed to test the resistance of security solutions against fast-moving, violent incidents that use blunt and bladed weapons. Reliable performance against these threats is particularly relevant with the increasing number of attacks targeting high-risk individuals and their assets.
We offer LPS 1673-certified mortice locking solutions that merge an unobtrusive design with robust protection. Our team of fully vetted, security-cleared engineers are trained to complete detailed site surveys, new installations and retrofits for existing security systems.
