The UK Government has classified data centres as being critical national infrastructure. With a significant growth in the number of data centre sites in the UK, it’s essential that these facilities follow the highest standards.
Because of this, fire containment and life safety considerations are extremely important, ensuring staff can quickly evacuate the site and that the spread of fire is limited within the facility.
At the same time, it’s important to prevent intruders from accessing data centre facilities, blocking them both at the perimeter and internally. Disruption resulting from theft, vandalism, or sabotage has the potential to affect thousands of commercial customers and millions of users. In addition, due to the sensitivity of the equipment and processes involved, it’s important to integrate access control within data centre facilities.
At Surelock McGill, we develop and manufacture high-performance systems to ensure safety and security. Our products have been tested to 1,000,000 cycles and come with a wide range of certifications.

We offer solutions for the data centre environment for:

Fire containment and life safety for server halls, including options for panic and emergency exit

Robust internal security, to protect hardware and block and delay intruders

Insider risk mitigation via access control integration for traceability and auditing

Perimeter security, including weather-resistant electronic access control systems
