Joining our wide range of robust locking solutions is the Tyne: A high-security, single point, mortice-fitted lock that hides its strength in a subtle, appealing form.

Striking the perfect balance between complete security and uninterrupted aesthetics, the Tyne has been tested and certified* to multiple international standards including LPS 1175 for physical security and BS EN 1125 & 179 for life-safety panic and emergency escape.

Meeting the requirements for LPS 1175 Issue 8 C5* (on selected doorsets) the Tyne is able to withstand forced entry attempts using tools such as drills, gas torches and hacksaws for up to 5 minutes of continued attack.

Hiding its strength within the leaf of the door, the Tyne can also be connected to access control systems to provide activation and monitoring of the lock and bolt status, when access to a secure room must be managed.

Featuring an extra deep 127 mm backset, the Tyne moves the handle and cylinder further from the leading edge of the door, which allows additional space for multiple rebates, cylinder protection guards and seals on a doorset.

This makes it an ideal solution for acoustic, blast and flood doorsets where seals are a crucial element of the door functioning the way it’s intended.

Alongside this, the bolt extends over half of the depth of the lock case making it extremely difficult to lever the bolt out and works in harmony with a bolt through cylinder guard option to provide maximum strength.
