Gated access points on the perimeter form the outermost layer of any security plan. Because of this, gates are critical for delaying, deterring, and blocking intruders, allowing time for responders to address and neutralise security threats. Despite this, many sites still use outdated gate locking systems that can be exploited.

To provide a resilient security solution, gate locking mechanisms should be permanently integrated into or onto the gate. Our integrated locking systems offer versatile security features such as:
With 78% of businesses now using some form of access control, such as a key fob or access card (HID Global), our locks integrate with access control functionality to ensure we can provide a solution that fits your security plan. Surelock McGill offers a range of products built specifically for gates, with the option to enhance and customise the locking systems based on your individual requirements.

Single Point

Surelock McGill offers a range of single-point locks with fully stainless steel construction and bolt throws from 40 mm to 125 mm. Many of our locks also have an adjustable release strike to accommodate the larger tolerances and clearances of gate installations.

Access Control Gate

If you need to secure an external gate to a high security level with local controlled entry, we can supply locks with access control integration, including lock monitoring. Exit can be facilitated via access control release, key, thumbturn with lever handle, or single-handed egress. These options can satisfy both security and safety requirements.

Multi Point

If you need to secure an external gate to a higher security level with local controlled entry, then the Surelock McGill Moorgate system is an ideal fit. The Moorgate is constructed from Grade 316 stainless steel, and its primary lock consists of two hook bolts and a central aligning bolt. There is also an adjustable release strike that is designed to accommodate the larger tolerances and clearances of gate installations. Additional bolting positions can be added both vertically and horizontally, if required, for greater physical security.

Access Control & Automated Gate Control

If you need to secure an external gate to a high security level, with local controlled entry, we offer locks with access control integration, including lock monitoring. A 24 V motor-driven version of the Moorgate is available for improved accessibility, allowing the bolts to be automatically retracted once the device is activated. Used in conjunction with an automated opener, this will provide full remote access to the gate. Both 12 V and 24 V systems are available, where only access control is required. Exit can be permitted via access control release, key or thumbturn with lever handle, or single-handed egress. These options ensure you can meet all relevant security and safety requirements.
