Flood and Acoustic Doors

These two areas present unique challenges, but a shared requirement is the need to seal the door. Our hardware can provide the required level of flood and acoustic performance by using a manually bolted multi-point lock with angle leads for each bolt. This assists in pulling the door tightly into the frame seals. Our products cover a wide range of operational requirements and can comprehensively address sealed-door needs.

Heritage/Safe Refuge Doors

It can be difficult to find a replacement door that matches the existing aesthetic but delivers a higher level of security. We produce mortice-fitted high-security multi-point devices that are aesthetically pleasing but offer flexibility in the sourcing of lever handle sets and for entry and exit methods. A mortice-fitted multi-point lock can also secure safe refuge doors, allowing you to quickly and discreetly secure yourself in a safe space.

Tall Doors

Adequately securing taller doors can be challenging, but the use of Surelock McGill’s extension kits can overcome this issue, and the use of horizontal bolting points can help to stabilise the door and maintain security. Our multi-point locking devices also allow a variety of entry and exit options.

Vision Panels

Security doors will sometimes need to allow individuals to see through to the other side – to comply with the Disability Act, for example. In these cases, a security-rated vision panel is an ideal solution. Surelock McGill supplies these in three standard sizes that meet both the Disability Act criteria and security ratings up to LPS 1175: Issue 8 Security Rating E10 (SR5)*. They have also been successfully tested for ballistic resistance (BS EN 1522*) and fire containment (EN 1634-1*).

* Tested and certified as part of a complete doorset.

High-Security Ventilation Louvres

High-security louvres can help to ventilate secure buildings. Surelock McGill’s Max-Air range of louvres are rated to LPS 1175: Issue 8 Security Rating E10 (SR5)* for security. They can be fitted in the door panel or wall and allow high air volume movement, whilst maintaining security.

* Tested and certified as part of a complete doorset.

Keyrings

Facilities such as prisons and hospitals have large numbers of employees who need to access secure areas with keys. These institutions have a duty of care for these keys, where loss or key compromise could result in security breaches and serious safety issues. Surelock McGill has designed a high-security solution for this, using a stainless steel ring and a unique seal, making compromise easy to detect. In addition, the tool for sealing these rings ensures that the keys cannot be transferred or left unaccounted for.
