Ballistic Threats

It is important to protect staff and personnel from hostile action, particularly in areas of conflict and civil unrest. Surelock McGill’s multi-point locking devices offer protection from ballistic and blast threats. They have been successfully used on doors tested and certified up to the BS EN 1522 FB7 and UL 752 Level 10 ratings for ballistic resistance, including for cylinder protection.

Vision Panels

Ballistic resistance ratings for doorsets cover both the door and the locking hardware, but they must also consider other potential points of weakness. In some cases, it is desirable to have a vision panel for a security door, allowing individuals on the interior to see who is requesting or attempting entry. Surelock McGill supplies ballistic-rated vision panels in three standard sizes. They meet the Disability Act’s criteria and have been successfully tested to the EN 1522 ballistic rating (up to FB6).
